The drill guides are centered on standard 1-1/4" spacing for locating hinges and drawer slides. Whether you're adding shelves to an existing piece or creating a new one from scratch, using the Kreg® Shelf Pin Jig is easy. A dual-position fence aligns the jig to the edge of your workpiece for straight, accurate rows. Drill six holes with one setup, or connect another jig for longer rows with the same spacing. Fence can be removed to work inside a structure. This shelf pin jig can has molded-in alignment marks and indicator window that can be used when aligning mounting screws for concealed hinges and locating the front hole for drawer slide installation in frameless cabinets.
