Power Technology
Power Technology Students will explore the science, theory and practical applications of fiber optic, infrared, magnetic, proximity and ultrasonic sensors. They'll also discover how a logic controller provides various modes of operation for each sensing device. A security light screen sensor simulates security applications for residential, commercial, industrial, military and nuclear power sites. Basic to sophisticated sensors are applied to numerous simulated security and manufacturing applications.
Trainer for grades 6-12.
Includes electronic logic controller, reflective & thru-beam optic cables, magnetic reed sensors, simulated product security tag, mirrors, metal target w/stand, 2 PVC targets, target wheel, magnet assembly, reflector, water reservoir & ultrasonic sensor, visual & audio alarms, indicator light & DC motor.
